2nd Annual Youth Fund BBQ
Great Tunes, Great Food, Great Company

On Saturday the Rotary Club of Orange hosted a benefit BBQ and silent auction to raise funds for Orange county children.  The proceeds from ticket sales and auction sales will directly fund programs that help local youth including Children’s Toy Box, Quest, Paws For Reading, and Rise Against Hunger. Once again Bucky and Adrianna Waddy supplied & cooked the pork bbq (even better than I remembered!) which was flanked by some awesome (and colorful) slaw (thank you Russell James), yummy baked beans supplied by Brenda Tanner (better than I ever had at school!), plus a wealth of deserts supplied by all of Club Members. There was surprisingly little left over!

Our entertainment for the evening was Lindsay Latham, from our own OCHS, and it was superb! Lindsay performed as a solo act. Her lyrical voice and gentle guitar accompaniment carried through the venue and throughout the evening very nicely. Lindsay's selection of music was varied as well. Lindsay treated us with some of her own compositions and a great mix of everyone's favorites. Our sincere thanks go out to Lindsay (and family) for her efforts.  We hope you will consider playing for us again soon!

The sad news is that this is the only photo we have of the BBQ (we failed to elect a club photographer). The good news is that we'll remember for next year and it promises to be an even grander event! Stay tuned for more information.
